How AGNES RF Microneedling Works

Specially designed/shaped microneedles are used to target deep, medium, or superficial fat. The heat produced stimulates collagen and tightens based on the depth of energy delivered below the surface. The energy causes a localized injury that heals very quickly and keeps the surface intact. Because of the precise control of the energy delivery, there is improvement seen with minimal to no downtime and the procedure is safe for most patients. This energy can be delivered to enlarged pores or the sebaceous glands that cause acne. The heat shrinks or destroys the sebaceous gland, leading to smaller pores and reduced acne. We can improve the fat accumulation around the eyes and define the jawline/chin. This is a nonsurgical sculpting tool.

What to expect

Topical numbing cream is applied before your treatment. Areas to be treated are marked and numbed with an anesthetic. There is minimal discomfort during the treatment. Patients will have some redness after the treatment that may persist for 24-48 hours, although many patients have minimal discoloration as soon as 3 hours after the treatment. Swelling and minimal bruising of treated areas are normal for a few days up to a week. The smaller the treatment area, the easier to downtime. Improvement is seen after one treatment, but a series of 1-3 treatments may be needed (depending on the amount of volume/contouring needed).
